iPhone 6S Case, Ringke FUSION ** Shock Absorption Technology**[FREE Screen Protector][CRYSTAl VIEW] Crystal Clear PC Back Drop Protection TPU Bumper Case for Apple iPhone 6 (2014) / 6S (2015) vs. iPhone 6S Case , Trianium® [Clear Cushion] Premium iPhone 6 Case Bumper (4.7 Inch)[Scratch Resistant] Seamless integrated Shock-Absorbing Cover Cases Hard Back Panel Apple iPhone 6 6S (2014/2015) vs. iPhone 6s Case, Spigen® [Ultra Hybrid] AIR CUSHION [Crystal Clear] Clear back panel + TPU bumper for iPhone 6 / 6s – Crystal Clear (SGP11598) I can say clear cases are similar in terms of looks but there are a few distinct differences that either make it worth the investment or ruin the phone with little drop protection or ding up the interior sides. Better clear cases are thick, flexible rubberized plastic with a simple look, useful to show off the phone but hard getting the right case if they all tend to look the same. I previously bought a transparent case and some of these cases like the iPhone 6S Case, Ringke FUSION ** Shock Absorption Technology**[FREE Screen Protector][CRYSTAl VIEW] Crystal Clear PC Back Drop Protection TPU Bumper Case for Apple iPhone 6 (2014) / 6S (2015), iPhone 6S Case , Trianium® [Clear Cushion] Premium iPhone 6 Case Bumper (4.7 Inch)[Scratch Resistant] Seamless integrated Shock-Absorbing Cover Cases Hard Back Panel Apple iPhone 6 6S (2014/2015), or iPhone 6s Case, Spigen® [Ultra Hybrid] AIR CUSHION [Crystal Clear] Clear back panel + TPU bumper for iPhone 6 / 6s – Crystal Clear (SGP11598) are the best cases worth trying instead of the $35+ factory cases. I’ve used Spigen a few times before and love the quality but this is my first time trying the Trianium Clear Cushion and the Ringke Fusion. This I hope, is to help make an informed choice based on the common mid type protection in clear cases. Like I said, I chose Spigen cases for my past devices but given the iphone 6s it’s best to find the optimal fit if I can. 1) Screen Protector: I personally love free stuff, Ringke Fusion comes with a complimentary screen protector but the other cases don’t include this. This is convenient if you just got your phone and the screen needs to stay covered until the glass order comes in. Best thing is this free protector is pretty decent quality and works with the iphone 6s 3D touch. Out of the three, Ringke is the only one that comes with a free screen protector. Ringke Fusion > Spigen Ultra Hybrid = Trianium Clear Cushion 2) Protection: The material on all three cases is TPU plastic that protects all sides and prevents the back panel from touching the flat surface with small legs on each corner. The Ringke Fusion has a shock absorption bumper that works for average size drops without damaging the phone. Now the Spigen Ultra Hybrid features small divets inside each corner for their Air Cushion feature. Spigen adds a tiny bit more bulk on the side frame for this. The Trianium Clear Cushion does not have much cushion despite the name and has less front lip and back scratch protection. But in my opinion, the amount of protection will be about the same for each of these cases for accidental drops. Keep in mind, these cases are not heavy duty if you’re looking for more protection I would recommend a different type of case. Ringke Fusion = Spigen Ultra Hybrid = Trianium Clear Cushion 3) Buttons: The outer layer looks the same but there is a big difference in clicking the volume buttons. All three share that soft TPU frame, but the most rigid buttons to the better responsive ones rank from Trianium to Spigen and then to Ringke. The Trianium Clear Cushion and Spigen Ultra Hybrid buttons are more rigid and make for a harder press. The problem I had with Spigen is the flush buttons and I prefer the raised button feel on the Ringke to keep the satisfying button click and find the buttons easier. It is not a potential deal breaker but something to consider with the cases based on preference. The Ringke buttons are noticeably more responsive so the buttons feel close to pressing the naked buttons over the Trianium and Spigen, but that is because the sides on the other two press more rigid on the iphone 6s. Ringke Fusion > Trianium Clear Cushion > Spigen Ultra Hybrid 4) Packaging: I opened the Trianium with a flimsy, almost loose plastic wrap to protect the case inside a plastic package. Luckily I see no scratches but the other two cases had tight protective films to make sure the cases arrive clean. If you get a defect, this is probably where it gets scratched up. The Spigen box was the best with an authentication slip while the Ringke Fusion packaging is much cheaper, it claims to be environmentally friendly but looks like a cost saving package. The Ringke Fusion package had more extras like a screen protector, tiny brochure and tool to cut out a design for the case. The others did not have add-ons with the case. I say the rating for the packaging and presentation is: Spigen Ultra Hybrid = Ringke Fusion > Trianium Clear Cushion 5) Cutouts/Port Cover: The lightning port and speaker cutouts are the biggest difference in these cases. The Trianium frame has the same cutouts for the ringer switch as the Ringke Fusion, but Spigen’s cutouts have rounded ends. I like this design better but it does create a little more space for dust to get in the case so if you like the tighter cutout, go for the Trianium or the Ringke which stays rectangular in the shape of the switch. Another difference is the camera cutout, the Trianium stays open wider in a rectangular cutout and the other two are almost the same but smaller rounded ovals. The Spigen camera cutout is a little smaller so there is less room for dust here around the lens. The thing I like is the Ringke Fusion’s dust covers on the lightning port and headphone jack which makes it easier to keep clean without attracting gunk in the port. I like this particular option but if you do not you can snip it off easily enough. Ringke Fusion > Spigen Ultra Hybrid = Trianium Clear Cushion 6) Feel/Grip: The corners on the Trianium Clear Cushion are looser than the other cases so the sides slip on easily, but there is a lot of give in the fit so the hold is not the most comfortable. It’s not something that should be an issue if you like to switch cases but the Spigen Ultra Hybrid and Ringke Fusion fit tighter. The cases are equally comfortable in the texture of the back and sides but the difference comes in the grip in hand. The Trianium Clear Cushion feels big on the iphone compared to the other two so it can feel like it might slip out of the case and skid if accidentally dropped. The Spigen case definitely feels more secure and sturdier in hand but if you like less bulk the Ringke Fusion holds up fine and is a little closer to the size of the iphone 6s. Spigen Ultra Hybrid = Ringke Fusion > Trianium Clear Cushion 7) Customization: Each of these cases are customizable but only one comes with a cutting tool to make your own background. This is useful only if you like to make your own back layouts but if you like to see the phone clear in the case, then this is not needed and the Spigen Ultra Hybrid and Trianium Clear Cushion not having the template won’t be an issue. If you do enjoy making your own, then I recommend trying the free cutting tool with the Ringke Fusion to change it up every now and then. Ringke Fusion > Spigen Ultra Hybrid = Trianium Clear Cushion Counting the votes the overall winner is the Ringke Fusion. I like it mostly over the Spigen for the raised button pressing and dust patches on the cutouts. If you don’t like the covers you can snip them off or go with the open ports on the Spigen and Trianium cases. The cases themselves are not that great in difference at first look but what matters is how it fits with what you’re looking for most in a case. Hope this helps make an informed decision on which case will be the better choice based on how well you handle the phone. There’s a difference in how these brands gained my attention and with the added dust covers and free screen protector, in my opinion the Ringke Fusion wins in consumer value and best price. So I prefer the Ringke Fusion, but that’s my preferred combination of features for the iphone 6s. ..More
